Qigong Teacher Training

Become a Qigong teacher and gain the skills, confidence, and experience to share Qigong movements, meditations and philosophy in your professional or personal realm.

This 200-hour certificate training shares with you the joy of Qigong and prepares you to teach and apply the practices and principles of Qigong in a professional setting. No pre-requisite is required other than a commitment to learning and a desire to share these mind-body movement and meditation practices.

What You'll Learn

Qigong Movement and Meditations

In this program, you will have the opportunity to deepen in Qigong practice for self-cultivation as you also become proficient in several qigong forms, meditations and movements aimed at enhancing mind-body health, energetic alignment and spiritual development.

The specific forms you may learn and practice in this program include but are not limited to Bu Zheng Qigong, 9 Phases Qigong, 8 Brocades, Guo Lin Walking, Daoist Five Qigong, 6 Healing Sounds, YiJing Qigong and Zhan Zhuang Standing Qigong.

The course will also teach personalized Qigong prescriptions and guided visualizations (shen gong or spiritual cultivation practices) designed for energetic balancing, boundary protection, energy cultivation, personal power and clarity, as well as addressing many common health concerns such as fertility, sleep, digestion, emotional stability, mental health and more.

Qigong Foundations and Advanced Practices

Throughout this program, you will explore the theory, practices and philosophy of Qigong, including its foundational concepts, guiding principles and history, along with the practical applications, energetics and profound mind-body-spirit effects.

You will study Chinese Medicine, Five Elements, Yin and Yang theory and more as each relates to Qigong movements and meditations. You will also engage in classic Daoist texts and philosophy as well as Daoist medicinal practices and approach.

Additionally, you will understand the advantages and applications of Qigong for physical health, psycho-spiritual, mental-emotional wellness, and overall mind-body wellbeing. In addition, you will deepen into and practice spiritual inner-alchemy (nei-dan) practices for personal growth, universal connection, and energetic alignment.

Attendance Requirement

We advocate for flexibility, encouraging this program to adapt to and suit your schedule, time, and energy. All sessions will be recorded and made available for replay. However, for maximum benefit of all participants, we have a requirement to attend at least 70% of live scheduled class hours and a minimum of 3 daylongs.

About the Instructor

Suzannah Stason DTCM, CMQ, CQT is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and Certified as a Medical Qigong Practitioner, Medical Qigong Therapist and Integral Qigong and Tai Chi Teacher. Her primary teachers of many years are the late Suzanne Friedman, L.Ac., DMQ (China) and Roger Jahnke, DAOM, founder of IQTTC.  Suzannah is currently the Director of Medical Qigong and Adjunct Faculty at AIMC Berkeley and has been teaching and training people in Qigong since 2010.

Suzannah discovered the intricate interplay between mind and body at a young age. After earning a human biology degree from Stanford University and gaining experience in clinical research and medicine, she found her true calling in Chinese Medicine and Qigong. Suzannah is deeply committed to mind-body-spirit approaches to health, and she thrives on helping individuals achieve greater energy, clarity, and transformation in their lives.
