Suzannah Stason DTCM, L.Ac., CMQ, CQT

A seasoned Chinese medicine doctor, Qigong teacher and meditation practitioner, Suzannah dedicates herself to spreading these transformative practices through teaching tailored training programs and classes, patient care and community involvement, while also embracing personal growth and community diversity from her home in San Francisco.

Suzannah (she/her) graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology specializing in the mind-body connection in 2004. She has been teaching mindfulness and Buddhist meditation since 2007 and Qigong theory, practices and philosophy since 2010.

Suzannah trained for many years with Brian La Forgia, L.Ac. in the Shen-Hammer pulse system and with Suzanne B. Friedman L.Ac. DMQ (China) and Roger Jahnke, DAOM in Qigong and Medical Qigong. She is a three time trained Qigong instructor and practitioner with over 1000 hours of qigong teacher training.

Embracing the philosophy that the best way to learn is to teach, she transitioned from being an observant practitioner to a dynamic teacher, sharing these practices globally. Teaching not only ignites her passion but also fulfills her desire to spread these methodologies so that they reach and benefit a wide and diverse audience.

In 2022, Suzannah launched the Living Aligned Teacher Training program, aimed at deepening participants’ understanding and experience of qigong, as well as their confidence and capacity to share these practices with others.

This initiative helps make the practice more accessible and enjoyable, further enabling its dissemination across various communities. Suzannah’s teaching approach is deeply holistic—she acknowledges the cycles of light and dark in human experience, promoting growth and resilience even in the face of challenges. She advocates for embracing ease, resonance, and harmony in life, encouraging a playful engagement with all aspects of being human.

Suzannah’s commitment to cultural awareness and personal development enriches her approach, fostering an environment that respects history and embraces transformative growth.

Continually evolving and awakening in her own journey, she offers a blend of authenticity, practicality, and inspirational guidance in her teachings, all designed to empower self-healing and realization. Suzannah is a cis-white female living in San Francisco on the unceded ancestral homeland of the Ramaytush Ohlone peoples. Suzannah proudly co-parents her little girl, Everly, with her partner, Corey Dobyns (she/her).
