The Alchemy of Spring: Renewal, Vision & Flow

The Alchemy of Wind
Gentle persistence • the emergence of vision • sustaining aligned action

As Spring’s movement begins to take shape, the question becomes how to stay in motion without force. This series explores the subtle power of Wind — the aspect of Qi that carries, adjusts, and sustains what has already begun.

In Daoist thought, true movement is never driven by effort alone, but arises through attunement to the natural rhythms of the body and the Dao. Wind reflects this quality of responsiveness — moving continuously, adapting without resistance, and allowing direction to refine itself over time. As Wood begins its transition toward Fire, what we have initiated is asked to deepen into continuity, clarity, and expression.

Through Qigong practice, reflection, and teachings from Chinese medicine, we will cultivate gentle persistence, allowing vision to emerge and action to continue with rhythm, coherence, and ease.

In each class, we will:

  • Begin with meditation to sense subtle internal movement and attune to the body’s rhythms
  • Practice Qigong forms that support continuity, circulation, and adaptability
  • Explore the role of Wind in carrying and refining direction
  • Develop a felt sense of persistence without strain or urgency
  • Integrate through reflection and inquiry, connecting practice to daily life

This series offers a way of being in movement that is steady, responsive, and sustainable — where action arises naturally, and what is carried forward begins to take shape and quietly come into light.
